Pain, loss, and misjudgment misfortunes we have all endured at one point in our lives. We are voulhire: A new arrival under great skies by Mathew Tysz focuses on different exhilarating themes. Voulhire is a kingdom that is rich, and full of opportunities where no one has an excuse for failure. We are voulhire: A new arrival under great skiesis based on adventure and work of fiction from mages, science, and war.

The book resonates around different cities in voulhire. Galen, a young man, flees his homeland to voulhire after inheriting his great uncle's fortune. He's faced hardships from his homeland yet he chooses to be humble, and see the good in others as he is dragged on adventures by Rowan his uncle's executor. Hillport, a city in voulhire, has its people freely professing that the idiom lightning does not strike twice is a myth to them. They find no luck when it comes to their leaders and when they finally do destruction happens. Something big awaits voulhire yet the king and his subject are unaware of what they are to face.

Mathew Tysz has gone into great detail with the book. When you understand the book it enables one to feel as if you are part of the realm created due to his detailed and lucid writing. I love the fact that he has gone as far as to write a glossary of the names he is to use in the book enabling a better understanding of the world he has created.

I love how when reading the book you get to see how much work he's put into the characters. His characters have different traits some are humble, and kind yet there are those filled with mischief and mystery. We progressively see their intentions as you read more of the book unraveling the story of every character.

The book has many characters which at first it's a problem to keep up with. The different points of view that are in the book are because it covers different people. This doesn't give much time to understand the character and know who they are. Though at the end it starts to finally fall into place which makes the book more interesting when you realize they all lead to something.

This book has managed to evoke different emotions from making it a good book I would therefore rate it 4 out of 4 stars. The fact that the author has managed to capture every detail enables the understanding of every activity taking place. The ending also left me yearning for more and wanting to continue with the series. I would recommend this book to young adults and adults who love fiction and adventures.
