Rise of the savior by Antoine Bonner is an action-packed fantasy novel. The book is about an eighteen-year-old Amanda with a normal life and an average family who just finished high school and wants to pursue a career in karate. Her whole life changed when there was an accident involving her and her dad when they were coming from a karate tournament. She was saved by a deity and was taken to a supernatural realm where she discovered that she is the Acolyte of truth whose mission is to save the world from the Acolyte of death. Saira, Amanda's six-year-old sister was the first to realize her power as the Acolyte of transcendence. Jamie is a medical doctor who just found out about his wife's infidelity and his son's illness. He encountered the deity of death while praying in the chapel and was made the Acolyte of death, resulting in him killing small children to save his son. Was he successful in saving his son? Did Amanda accomplish her mission to save the world? Find out in this book.

Rise of the savior is a very enjoyable novel. There were moments filled with suspense and heightened tension which kept me on edge throughout the novel. I love that the author used simple English that made the book easy to read and understand. I learned a lot from this book one is that our trust in each other, our love for one another go a long way in driving us to make certain decisions. I love that Amanda's character is relatable to youths and young teenagers that are at a crossroad about what to do in life.

However, the characters in the book were not easy to follow due to too many characters.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because I really enjoyed the book and it was carefully and professionally edited with little bits of profanity.

I recommend this book to young people and teenagers who love fantasy and science fiction.
