Thrilling, suspenseful and deeply spiritual is the best way to describe Dr. Barry Nadel’s Seeking the Light of Justice. Written in a modern day setting, it tells the story of an adventurous and daring archeologist Dr. Yoshua Rosenberg, who is tasked with decrypting the mind-boggling discovery made at an excavation site. From the temples of Jerusalem to the vineyards of Spain, a tale of bravery, sacrifice and courage is gradually unraveled. Having to battle government bureaucracy and religious persecution, Rosenberg together with his family, friends and colleagues stand united amidst centuries-old hidden secrets. The attempts by the Vatican to eradicate their hard-earned archeological fruits of labor only lead Rosenberg to a Jewish spiritual journey and bring him ever closer to the fulfillment of a prophecy long foretold by a spiritual man regards the Hoshiyan Chronicles. Will the prophecy come to pass or will it turn out to be a fable?

The level of detail with which the author describes each scene gives a clear and visible picture of each occurrence in the novel. At times, he takes one down memory lane but his mastery of the language allows for a strong tether to be established to ensure one does not get lost in a mesh of too much information. There is good organization and this releases a beautiful flow of an unhindered event timeline enabling the reader to enjoy the story throughout. He ends the book with suspense but gives hope for a satisfying grand finale.

Unfortunately, grammatical and spelling errors are found in many places throughout the book thus at times one wishes for the book to be re-analyzed. In some instances, it takes long for a scene to reach its climax hence patience may be required from the reader but this is subjective.

I give this book 4 out of 4 stars because of its lovely story line and originality. Not only does it display how captivating artistic fiction can be, it also tackles events people face in the day-to-day life of the twenty-first century hence it is realistic. The errors it possesses are outweighed by the magnificence of its caliber.

I highly recommend the novel Seeking the Light of Justice to lovers of suspenseful, adventurous and exciting fiction. It contains material relating to spiritual beliefs particularly of Jews and Christians, however, any person with interest in stories of divine nature can also read it. The novel carries an essence of unity, teamwork and togetherness throughout and hence would be appreciated by anyone who loves the concept of working together against all odds.
