Review of Terms of Service
In a futuristic world, where artificial intelligence has become the norm, Kim works as a midrange trainer of automatons at The Artificial Intelligence Company. Her life is less than mediocre, and her days and nights seem repetitive and unfulfilling. Then a day of escape from it all turns her world upside down, plunging her into a nightmarish discovery of the true world, herself and her troubling past. Helplessly bound by the rules of the system, she is forced to make difficult decisions in order to survive this oppressive world. These decisions will haunt her and ultimately change her life forever. It will also put her valuable relationship with Shan, her best friend, to the ultimate test.
Terms of Service by Craig W. Stanfill, offers the reader a frightening insight into a world that might be one day, where people are robbed of their privacy, free will and dignity. In a world of virtual reality: are you really who you think you are?
One thing that I particularly enjoyed about this book is the author's ability to awaken a sense of nostalgia and sympathy with the deprived population. For instance, the old beloved music they can no longer listen to and the bland food and cold showers endured when misbehaving. The author also heightens the reader’s senses when describing the pure enjoyment of delicious meals, the joy of a bicycle ride on a sunny day and the luxury of a warm bath. This leaves you with a deep awareness of the little things taken for granted. Colourful descriptions of gatherings and sports events manage to blend reality with virtual reality, until the reader is completely absorbed in the moment, all the while keeping you guessing what will happen next. How will Kim manage to escape this ‘prison’ she finds herself in… or will she?
I could genuinely not find a negative aspect of this book, other than the writer’s occasional use of complex language which might have you reaching for a dictionary if English is not your native language.
As a devoted horror reader, I was very surprised at how this book broadened my horizons in terms of genres. It is very well written with an original concept, colourful characters and an excellent storyline. I therefore score Terms of Service by Craig W. Stanfill 4 out of 4 stars. Apart of some minor hyphen and grammar errors, the book was generally well edited.
Terms of Service will be thoroughly enjoyed by Science Fiction fans, and is highly recommended for this audience.

I agree yes. It might be interesting to learn but I would recommend to read the digital version. It will make the word search easier.I could genuinely not find a negative aspect of this book, other than the writer’s occasional use of complex language which might have you reaching for a dictionary if English is not your native language.
