Wyrd Gods is the first book in a series called Timelessness, which can also serve as the book title. It was written by Susana Imaginário. It is a special story of gods and mortals. The book tells the story of a goddess who, in an attempt to answer a prayer, becomes a fated god. The way to hell is paved with good intentions. We see two souls living in one body, and at some point, both seek dominion and control of the body. Who will eventually gain absolute control? Is it the fated deity or the soul who invited the goddess of the soul?

Meanwhile, it seems like the coming down of the goddess of the soul will help some deities and special creatures in the fight against their mutual enemies. The goddess has desired to abandon the body she is fated in and return to her comfort zone within the stars. At a time when the fulfillment of this desire surfaces, it threatens the essence of her coming down to help Ileana. Would she be able to fully accomplish the promise she had made? Would she be swallowed up in the process? Or would she grab an opportunity to leave the entrapped body?

There are several positive aspects of the book. First, suspense is a device the author employed greatly; I enjoyed the author's use of this device. I was hooked onto the pages of the book to ascertain the fate of the goddess of the soul and the fate of other deities that have been trapped. Another positive aspect is the great imagination of the author, which produced a fantastic plot. It seems the author's last name, Imaginário, has a tremendous influence on the imagination of the author, as I can say it is beyond this world. The story is not the regular story of mortals but a unique story of deities and the war they fight. I enjoyed almost everything about this book. It was amazing, to say the least.

As a negative aspect, I think the actions of some characters were not adequately justified. The book had also vaguely stated that in the show of superiority among the three main Gods, Chronos, the God of Time, had merged the world. It left me wondering what Chronos intended to achieve by this. It just seemed like every deity was fighting another for the fun of it and not for any particularly compelling reason. Perhaps, the author could consider adding better explanations.

This book contains minimal errors, which shows that it was professionally edited. I rate the book 3 out of 4 stars. Despite the great storyline, I think the author had poorly given the reason for all the conflicts in the book. I recommend this book to lovers of books involving deities. This book may be better suited for readers older than sixteen years. This is because some of the erotic content in the book is not suitable for such an audience.

Great storyline, but I'm not sure I'd want to read a book about deities. Fans of sch books should check this out.

I am interested to know about how the goddess got demoted, if that’s what this is. I would also be interested to find out how she can rectify the situation.

Reading that the literary device, suspense, was artistically used in this book has already got me interested. I hope to cope with the erotic content of the book mentioned in this review.

I enjoy books that have me kept in suspense. It makes the reading more enjoyable if I cannot guess what will happen. That way I may keep reading and reading. That said, I would love to read this book. However, I have a lot of my list for now.

I wonder if some more explanations will be given in the sequels. That would make this series even more interesting, meanwhile, I'll look into it, as it seems like a susepenseful fantasy story. Thank you for your great review!
