Review of The Party Line
Have you ever thought about there being different worlds and realms? What about dreams? How are they connected to the real world? The protagonist of The Party Line by Dennis D. Gagnon was fascinated about connecting with the ethereal world. He succeeded in connecting with voices from a different realm. He decided to test his theory of consciousness further. He wanted to see if he fabricated a story in the real world, if it would manifest in another realm. His experiments opened a world of chaos and created a tragedy. Will the protagonist be able to safely prove his theory? What other realms are there? Will he be able to speak with a god?
This was no ordinary book. It contained phantoms, monsters, dragons, and phoenixes. The storyline was intriguing and immersive. I could tell a lot of research went into creating this book as the author could sum up Einstein's theories and other theories with only a few sentences. While this was a science fiction, it did not feel overly scientific. I can say I've learned a thing or two about light waves and other scientific ideas. The author's arguments seem very valid since he included many other proven theories to support his.
The only thing I did not particularly like about this book was that the beginning was a bit confusing. I did not understand what the party line theory of consciousness entailed until I read further into the story. Also, I felt more emotion could have been shown on the narrator's part when his friend was killed. A nice addition to the book would be to add more emotions. Other than that, I could not find anything to dislike about this book.
The Party Line was exceptionally well edited. I did not notice any errors in the book. This is what led me to give it a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I think the author was able to successfully capture our attention and create a world we could immerse ourselves in. The descriptions of the scenes were epic, and the fight between the narrator and the monster was nail-biting.
This book would appeal to lovers of science fiction and adventure. If you believe in other worlds or dare to connect with other beings, this is the perfect book to read. The author's creativity was second to none. In conclusion, this was a thought-provoking book and causes one to wonder about the existence of other realms.
