Review of The Party Line
The Party Line is a science fiction book where the narrator takes us on a journey into his high school years to his early adolescent years. As the writer relives his adventurous, fun and wild school years that he shares with his best friend D you also get to go with him on his interestingly excursions of the ethereal realm, as he vividly paints this world of conversations with mysterious voices, ghost, a goddess and a monster. He encounters all these as the unconscious indulge in conversations between the sentiment beings through extrasensory consciousness the author endeavors to comprehend the relatedness between the real world and the aethereal and most importantly the loss of his lifelong friend D.
Dennis Gagnon frequently visited the aethereal realm out of his own curiosity. However, he discovered that is best friend also came along at times, but he only sees it as just a dream, after the author realized the possibility of danger for his friend, from his own little innocent explorations to understand the world and all that’s in it. He now struggles to save his best friend soul in this occult world of monstrous evil, truth and fear as he now greatly fears that what happens in the occult world will happen in the real world.
Unfortunately, he was face with this dilemma, his friend was gone. In his urgency to save now save his soul he encounters this mystical girl who introduce him to a grand voice, the sage; challenges his philosophical theories and his own self concepts which he eventually needs to use to decide how to conquer this monster that has taken his best friend from him. To accomplish this mission the author had to come together with Percy’s D girlfriend, D ghost and other persons from the real world as he came up with what the religious world stand in, Love conquers it all.
The author blend of a non-existence world and reality brings on an amount of curiosity as he explores and deliberate philosophical ideas, the existence of God, mythology and free will. It was very fascinating as he uses these concepts creatively and engaging in his storytelling which makes the conversations came alive it seems so real and leaves you wanting more. I also like how he challenge earlier philosophy theory with his own Party Line Concept.
I would like to point out even a one negative in this book but unfortunately, I couldn’t find one, it was a well written story that grip you from the beginning, the concepts are understandable, and the pages are full of unexpected twist and turns with a little humor.
I rate this book 4 out of 4.It was really a great read and thought provoking I will recommend this book to anyone who don’t mind exploring science, myths and other elements of consciousness.
