Review of The Party Line
The Party Line by Dennis D. Gagnon narrates about the authors high school Life, experiences, issues and encounter in different worlds in this novel. This novel talks of friendships and other characters like monsters, aliens and demons. The maii message of this novel revolves around science, friendship, mystery, psychology and philosophy. The two worlds involved in this novel are ethereal and real world. D and the author have been friends for many years. Each of them had their own thoughts about the world. The author was so curious and his curiosity made him to discover a way of communicating to aliens. He came across a world of aliens known as ethereal. D was carelessly used by the author in his experimentation. This resulted to the death D. Percy a woman who dated D helped him to figure a way. Apart from revenge the author also hada responsibility of taking care and protecting his loved ones.
The author's friendship with D caught my attention while I was reading the novel. The author has done a good work by creating a novel from 1971 adventure. Apart from writting the novel in the first person narrative he is also a well seasoned author. He has involved the use of metaphors. The author's ability to explain different theories and terminologies had indicated that the author has done alot of research and he understands properly what he is doing. The plots unfold in a unique way. The whole narration is like a journey to a new place filled with adventure and discovery of new things.
This novel can be compared to a philosophical novel. It has a good biographical narration and a use of powerful sentences and words. The language used is also good and simple to understand. All the characters have been presented in an excellent way. The explanation is great one will not use alot of energy to understand it. The level of suspense is superb as it made me eager to know what will happen next.
Their is nothing I dislike in this novel. The language used is good and excellent and the philosophical nature in it makes it excellent. A few chapters were had to grasp the theme bt later after following the narrator's narration I understood them properly. I like the author creativity and this is what made have nothing to dislike.
I will award this novel a four out of four stars. It is professionally editted. The reason why I gave this rating is because of the author's creativity. I will recommend this novel to philosophers. The is no vulgar or profane words in this novel
