Imagine waking up to learn that you have a fortune waiting for you in a land you haven't been to before. How happy will you be to hear that your rich uncle has sent people to help rescue you not only from poverty but from a place where your life means little or nothing? This is the story of Galen Bray, who went from being a nonentity in the Land of the Princes to inheriting the best steel forge in the town of Magnum Caelum.

We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz starts off with how Lord Meldorath took over Hillport, fighting off the former Lord of Hillport. After a while, Lord Wilhem, the ruler of Voulhire, is left with no choice but to arrest his old friend after he learns of Meldorath's evil deed. That is what the people knew, but people didn't believe Wilhem when he said he had executed him. The big question now is, was Meldorath executed? If he wasn't, then what would be the consequences of leaving someone as evil as he is alive? Taking up this book will answer these questions.

I have not enjoyed a book like this in a long time. There were different parts to this story, but they all pointed in one direction. However, I wish the author talked more about the Land of the Princes. Aside from that, I liked everything else about the book. The author had a good sense of humor, which you will notice when the characters converse. His way of introducing the book was top-notch, though the action became slow-paced later on. The combination of magic and science makes this book one of a kind. I can't wait to read the next series of this book.

The author's style of writing is awesome. He kept his vocabulary simple and the stories in each chapter brief. I love how the people of Magnum Caelum welcomed Galen. The author is a proficient writer and you can see this in the way he details the events that occurred in the book. I didn't see any reason not to rate this 4 out of 4 stars. The author has a way of ending each chapter in a way that will draw you into the next. The scenes were captivating and intriguing, and I must commend him for a job well done.

I would recommend it to people who love reading a mix of science and magical adventure. The editing team did an exceptional job, as I didn't notice any errors while reading.
