Review of A Glimpse Through Time: Andronicus
What will you do if ever you are "teleported" to an unknown land and you don't age like a typical human being? A Glimpse Through Time: Andronicus is a tale of a man who lost his homeland. Try reading this book and see if the main character would find his sweet home. This is a masterpiece of Colin DeMieri; and he will tour you to the ancient land of Africa, Greece, and Athens to name a few. He weaves a unique fictional character by presenting King Leonidas, Aristotle, Plato or even Alexander the Great; instead of telling the old method of relaying the historical records of the ancient times.
Andronicus of Sparta is very excited to join the war when the Persians invade the Greek places. His time has come and he thought that killing the Persian army would avenge his father's death. He fought well. He leads an expedition with three fleets of warships, unfortunately the wind is not conducive to their journey. He had travelled with many armies until they were less than ten. The return trip to Sparta now seemed impossible. The remaining soldiers were eager to return home, but they were caught up in a storm. Luckily, they found a cave that changed their whole life. Would they still go back to their homeland? How? When?
I thought reading a book with a historical theme wasn't fun at all, but this book changed my view of the genre. Colin DeMieri has a good way of telling stories from ancient account, which I like the most. First of all, I like the way the author describes the set of characters, especially in the combat scenarios. It is full of useful information on the war between the Persians and the Greeks. Secondly, through this book, I appreciate the sacrifice of a soldier in the struggle for freedom, particularly in unfamiliar territory. Third, the flow of the historical civilization, culture and taboos is quite remarkable.
Although the book is quite long, I was satisfied with my reading and will rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I was fascinated by the scenario with Aristotle, Plato and Alexander the Great. Plus, I was surprised by the vivid description of the jungle, the desert, and the different species of animals. In addition, the book was edited by the professional because the flow of the events and their passage do not make readers raise their eyebrows.
On the other hand, I noticed some cliffhanger scenarios of the wayward traveler, but I guessed it was done purposely for the sequel. All in all, historical fanatics out there will absolutely love this story. A person who enjoys interpreting dreams will enjoy this book the most. I only recommend adult readers due to the many gory scenes of the villain.

Did it change their lives for the worst or better? I guess I would have to find the book first before getting answers. Thanks for such a great recommendation.
