Galen was afflicted with an unfortunate reality. His king was a power-thirsty ruler who did not care about his people. His hunger for power drove him to start a war with neighboring kingdoms. Thousands of good men, women, and children had died, yet, the king showed no intention of ending it. That was why Galen was happy when he finally left his country. Voulhire was to be his new home. He was determined to make it one. Unknown to him, a war was coming closer to this nation. Evil people were using their power and magic to do vile things. An angry sect was on a killing spree. People were dying right under the noses of the blissfully oblivious. What role will Galen play in the future of beautiful Voulhire?

We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies is the first book in Mathew Tyszs' We Are Voulhire collection of novels. It is magic and adventure-packed. I was almost expecting to see a dragon in the story. Though I never saw one, I saw a lot more than that. I saw a clear description of the typical man. I saw what power can do to people. I also saw the positive effects of a good friendship. It made me laugh and cry. I liked this book because it showed and made me feel a lot.

I liked Rowan’s interactions and bickering with Demetrius the most. I did not see them together as much as I would have loved to in this book. I only hope that I will get to see more of these two’s interactions in other books. Although their friendship was odd, it was pure. I liked that very much.

I love fantasy novels. We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies is a fantasy novel that helped me live a part of my fantasy. It took me on a short adventure in some of Voulhire’s cities. It took me on a trip into the minds of heroes and villains alike. It told me a story that I had never heard. I ended up liking everything about it. Matthew Tysz also edited it exceptionally well. There were no errors. Since I did not dislike anything about We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies, I rate it 4 out of 4 stars.

Fantasy novel lovers should read We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies. However, I only recommend it to those lovers that enjoy reading a long series. I call this series a long one because it contains about nine books.
