What is this book about? Full description if possible. I've read Ender's Game and would like to know if this is my type of Sci-Fi novel and such. =)
Much appreciated!!

I recently read "The Left Hand of Darkness" and I loved it. I would personally describe it as a great sci-fi novel about an ambassador from a conglomerate of worlds sent to a planet to establish a relationship, a trade alliance, and to study. On that planet of perpetual winter, he deals with the natives (the Gethenians), who can become male or female during each mating cycle.
I don't want to give any spoilers, but he finds it difficult to comprehend them and their intricate social systems as a whole. But, he forms a relationship/friendship... with one of them during his journey which helps him understand the people better.
I also loved "Ender's Game" and I think you would love and understand this book as well. I would even say that you'd would appreciate this book more if you've read and loved "Speaker for the Dead" which is the sequel to "Ender's Game". The tenuous relationship between Human and Alien and how the protagonist strives to make it better is very thought-provoking in both SFTD and TLHOD.
