Voulhire was one of the greatest kingdoms that prospered in every aspect. It was ruled by King Wilhelm, who was ready to do anything to protect his nation. He had a son, Prince Darius, who was nonchalant and lazy. Far away from the kingdom lay the Riva Rohavi, who rebelled against the kingdom and were determined to kill everyone who contributed to the growth of Voulhire. Galen Bray was a young, grateful, and kind man. When his uncle died, he was brought to Voulhire to take over his uncle's property.

I will start by saying that We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies was an interesting read; Matthew Tysz did wonderfully great in this book. Reading the book was fascinating. It left me wanting to re-read it, and I was curious to know what would happen in the other installments of this series. Galen Bray was the type of character I would term the 'pure in heart'. I think that this was what made him an exceptional character. At some point, I wondered why Rowan, his uncle's executor, still stayed with Galen. I thought of him as a dubious character, as his character was selfish. I did love how Galen treated him with kindness and gratitude. On the other hand, there was King Wilheim, who wanted nothing but the best for his nation. He was doing the right thing in the wrong way, and this led to the death of many people. Lord Eldus was another character that got my attention. Lord Eldus showed real and great leadership capacity. He was humble, and he was ready to serve the people of Hillport. The characterization endeared me to this book. While there were a bit too many, I liked that the author gave depth to his characters.

In addition, I liked the use of suspense in this book. The circumstances surrounding Meldorath made me eager to continue reading. Some characters displayed humor, and I found this refreshing. The figures of speech used in this book made it a pleasant read.

There was nothing to dislike about this book. It was perfectly edited, as I did not encounter any errors. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because I had a pleasant experience reading it. Since I found no negative aspects, I have no reason to deduct a star.

I recommend this book to readers who love fantasy and magic books. I think this book should be interesting for young adults.
