I enjoy fictional stories because you get to see the creativity level of the author. Some authors are so good. A New Arrival Under The Great Skies is the first book under the We Are Voulhire series. It is a story about a land that is blessed abundantly, and everyone who is not in Voulhire wants to go there. King Wilhem Arcolo was the leader of this land full of opportunities. He had managed to lead the people to prosperity, and most people loved him. Apart from a few individuals eyeing his throne and plotting to overthrow him. Galen is an interesting young character, and he is from the land of the Princes. This place was the opposite of Voulhire. In the land of the Princes, it was death by the sword or slow starvation. The land of the princes was always at war; people there did not know a life different from that. When Galen got a chance to escape this life, he did not hesitate. A New Arrival Under The Great Skies is a story about Galen’s life in the land of voulhire, the new people he meets, and his experiences. Apart from that, it is also about the game of power, the use of magic, and sabotage. The saying, absolute power corrupts absolutely can be applied in this book.

What I liked most about A New Arrival Under The Great Skies is how the author, Matthew Tysz, uses a vivid description of the land of Voulhire. It is an essential part of the story since the readers find themselves in love with this land and become invested in knowing what will happen to it, especially when the greatest enemy of Voulhire, Meldorath, is introduced.

There is nothing I disliked about this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. The characters were well developed, and the description was vivid and on point. I enjoyed the action part of it and the use of magic.

For short story lovers, this is not your go-to book. I recommend this book to young adults who enjoy fictional series. Long comprehensive story lovers, this is your book. It has a combination of magic, action, and mystery. The editing in this book is exceptional, with zero errors.

I award this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars because the character development is astounding, and the story is unique.
