We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is the first book in the We are Voulhire series. It is a sci-fi novel that tells the story of a rich and powerful nation, Voulhire.

Galen Bray is a refugee from the war-torn land of Princes. In the land of Princes, there was constant war and suffering. There was serious rivalry amongst the four sons of the emperor, which developed into a war and made the land of Princes a very uncomfortable place to stay. Galen went in search of greener pastures due to the endless war in the land. Galen traveled to Magnum Caelum in the kingdom of Voulhire to inherit his uncle's fortune. His uncle is a blacksmith with no heir to his properties and estates. Voulhire is a powerful and prosperous nation ruled by King Wilhelm Arcolo. It is a place known for science and magic. However, the people of Hillport were faced with several challenges, which were later resolved with the help of Lord Eldus.

This book was really captivating to read. The author painted a very vivid picture in the minds of the readers. He perfectly expressed all the characters in this book. The author used simple and easy words, which made it easy for me to read. This book is full of suspense and different plot twists. I really admired Galen's friendship with Rowan. They really maintained a solid friendship together. I also like the role Judge Eldus Alderman played in the development of Hillport. He was appointed by King Wilhelm as the lord of the town of Hillport after the dismissal of the previous lord, Lord Meldorath, who was arrested and executed for the scandals and troubles he caused the people of Hillport.

There was absolutely nothing wrong I could find with this book. This book was interesting to read. The people of Hillport were victims of bad leadership. They went through a lot in the hands of the two wicked leaders, Lord Meldorath and Lord Orlin. A rebel group known as Riva Rohavi has been working silently and rebuilding themselves to attack and overpower the kingdom of Voulhire. These attacks seem like terrorism, which shouldn't be happening in a nation. Also, the war that happened in Princes took a lot of lives, which I really find troubling.

I'm rating this book 4 out of 4 stars. I found no errors in the book. This shows that it was exceptionally well-edited. I recommend this book to lovers of fantasy novels and thrillers.
