We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a fictional book that tells the story of a young man, Galen Bray, who leaves his war-torn land for the land of Voulhire.

Voulhire is a rich and powerful nation known for science and magic. Galen left the land of Princes due to the endless war and rivalry between the four sons of the emperor and the unending suffering in the land. He travelled to Magnum Caelum in the city of Voulhire to inherit his deceased uncle's properties. Galen's uncle, Onita, was a blacksmith. King Wilhelm Arcolo ruled the kingdom of Voulhire with several lords. The lords lead the people of the town of Hillport. King Wilhelm removed Lord Orlin for his bad leadership and appointed Lord Meldorath. On the other hand, Lord Meldorath followed in the footsteps of Lord Orlin. He was arrested and executed for the troubles he caused the people of Hillport. Then the king appointed judge Eldus Alderman to restore hope to the people of Hillport. Get this book to find out what happened to the people of Hillport after the appointment of Judge Eldus.

I found this book really interesting to read. The author did a great job of writing this book. The plot twists made it more interesting to read. The author switched from the story of Galen and the war in the land of Princes to the political struggle in Hillport. The glossary of names was very helpful while reading this book. I like the author's narrative style and use of simple vocabulary in writing this book. I really liked the author's description of Voulhire. He was able to create a perfect image in the minds of the readers of what the kingdom of Voulhire looked like. The major and minor characters were well developed, and the introduction of new characters was unique. Rowan was my favourite character. He was an intelligent and easy-going man. He was helpful in the execution of Onita's will, and he later became friends with Galen.

I didn't dislike anything in this book. It was a really interesting book, full of action and suspense. I couldn't predict what would happen next. However, I found a few things troubling, like the constant war in Princes and the bad leadership the people of Hillport went through. These are things that could be avoided. It shows that humans are selfish and can do anything for their own selfish interests.

I'm rating this book 4 out of 4 stars. I found no errors in the book. This shows that it was exceptionally well-edited. I recommend this book to lovers of fictional books and adventures.
