Not sure if you knew but the BBC has many novels written about the franchise doctor who. Although many have not read them, they are pretty well written. They sell them at my local Chapters but I don't know we're you would be able to get them because I don't know where you live. But I would give them a shot if you like the show. They are very under read and I think they deserve more attention.

I would like more information about this topic if you don't mind. I really enjoy the TV show and reading always has so much more detail.

I'm not sure. As far as I know they have books on every doctor including twelve. Especially if your looking for more info on the eighth doctor. They also make things such as audio dramas. They are not written by one specific author and rather an array of authors but they are all very well written. I'm actually asking for Tales of Trenzalore for Christmas. You may be able to buy them online and in your local book store. They have many on the eleventh doctor as well as the ninth and eighth. I would recommend them to many people who like the show

I've only read one (Shada, about the Fourth Doctor), but I really enjoyed it and would love to find more. I thought it captured his characterization perfectly, and it was a great story overall. I'll definitely have to look around for some, particularly the Eighth Doctor!

I can see why you would like to find more on the eighth doctor as it would be good to figure out what his character is like more. I've noticed that the entire TV movie he appears to be in "regeneration mode" where he isn't quite himself.

I am a big fan of the rebooted series. David Tennant is my favorite doctor. I have been tempted to read the Doctor Who books I come across at the library and even the comic books. I just worry that the books won't be able to live up to the outstanding caliber of the show. Since the books have gotten such wonderful reviews I may give them a shot.
