Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a sci-fi and fantasy book that tells us about the story of a rich and powerful nation called Voulhire.
Galen is a young man from the land of Princes. In the land of Princes, there has been constant war and rivalry between the four sons of the emperor. The people were victims of war and unending suffering. Galen moved to Magnum Caelum in the city of Voulhire to inherit the properties of his deceased uncle, Onita. Voulhire is a powerful nation known for science and magic. King Wilhelm Arcolo ruled the people of Voulhire alongside several lords who led the people of Hillport. King Wilhelm Arcolo appointed Lord Meldorath after the dismissal of the former lord, Lord Orlin, who was dismissed for his bad leadership. Lord Meldorath was also dismissed for the troubles he caused the people of Hillport. He was arrested and executed. Judge Eldus Alderman took over from Lord Meldorath with the promise to restore hope and to end the trending rumour about Lord Meldorath's existence. Was Judge Eldus Alderman able to fulfill his promises to the people of Hillport? Get this book to find out.
I love reading sci-fi books, and this won't be an exception. The author told the story of the book from different perspectives. He switched from the story of Galen to the political struggle in Hillport. This is a fascinating and captivating book. I enjoyed the storyline of this book. I applaud the author for his writing style and creativity. The plot twists made it more interesting to read, and I must admit the author did a perfect job of writing this book. The book was full of action and suspense. The suspense was worth it. I couldn't take a break when reading the book because I was eager to know what happened next. The book was well-detailed, and the characters were well-developed. My favorite character is Rowan. He was like a brother to Galen. He also helped in the execution of Onita's will.
I found no negative aspects in this book. The author created different imaginations in the minds of the readers. I liked his description of the kingdom of Voulhire. The glossary of names was helpful while reading this book. I commend the author for his choice of words. It made comprehension very easy.
I rate this book four out of four stars. I found no errors in the book. This shows that it was exceptionally well-edited. I recommend this book to lovers of fantasy and historical fiction.
