We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz drew me in and held my attention, even though I've never really been one for fantasies. As the first book in the series, it did an excellent job establishing the tone for subsequent books.

Galen Bray, a young man, raised in a city constantly at war, tries to depart and look for a better life when his uncle calls for him to come and receive his riches. He gets on a vessel bound for Voulhire. When he arrives, he learns that his uncle has passed away. His uncle gave him a note and a blacksmithing logbook before passing away. Rowan assists him in settling into city life. This land is renowned for its magic, opportunities, and science. How long will there be peace in the city under King Wilhelm Arcolo? Eldus' point of view was likewise made available to us. The new Lord of Hillport, who has arrived to save it from his forebears' catastrophic rule, Was he victorious?

Tysz meticulously wrote the book, and since it is the first in the series, it paints a beautiful picture of the entire setting and sets a pleasant tone for the volumes that will come after. Despite the complexity, Matthew gives a lovely performance by expertly fusing the points of view of several characters. Every character had their moment to shine and was unique in their way. I adored Rowan because he was kind to Galen and had a great sense of humor. Galen had a strong sense of justice and compassion. It will be fascinating to see how his personality evolves in the following books.

Although the book's beginning was very flat, it subsequently picked up the pace, and I couldn't take my eyes off it for a second. I couldn't find anything wrong with it. Since this book ended on a cliffhanger, I am eager to read the sequel. Hopefully, the pace will quicken. The book engaged me from the beginning to the end. The authors' writing was flawless, and the characters were exceptionally developed.

I'm happy to give this book a rating of 4 out of 4. This book is error-free, to my knowledge. It demonstrates how it was well edited. The story was well thought out. The character development was passable and resulted in a theatrical conclusion. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy science, sci-fi thrillers, and fantasy.
