Galen prayed that the war between his country and another should end soon. From the looks of things, no deity would answer such a prayer. However, they were kind enough to kill his uncle. This set off a chain of events that led to Galen being sought after as the heir to his dead uncle's estate in Voulhire. He was happy that he would not have to look at the result of a senseless war every time he saw a new day. Galen thought his life in Voulhire would be smooth and without events. He was wrong. An evil was spreading its tentacles to Voulhire just as Galen made his way to that kingdom. He would have to choose between dying and fighting an evil that could swallow him whole. What do you think Galen would do?

We are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies satisfied my need for a drama-filled adventure novel. It does not contain the level of fighting you would expect to see in an adventure novel, and there is a good reason for that. Matthew Tysz stated clearly that this is just the first book in a series of nine. It is the introduction to a universe that is filled with unimaginable wickedness and violence. I believe subsequent books will show one-on-one combat between the protagonists and the enemies. I want to conclude this paragraph by saying that I did not dislike even one thing about this novel.

Galen's innocence is one of the things I liked about We are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies. He has gone through so much and has stared death in the face. One would expect such a man to be indifferent towards the world. I expected him to be a pessimistic little man. Galen wasn't any of those. He looked at the world like he saw it for the first time daily. His curiosity made him seem almost childlike. I also liked the relationship he had with Rowan and Demetrius. They complimented him very well, even though they remain a mystery to me. Galen's relationship is the kind that I can only pray I have one day. I liked that the most out of everything.

We are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies has no negative aspect. For instance, Matthew Tysz edited it exceptionally well. The characters developed steadily and in an interesting manner. It was filled with suspense, and it was not a boring read for me. What reasons can you give to prove my take on this book wrong? I doubt anybody who has read this book can challenge my claim above.

The reasons I mentioned above are enough for anybody to give both We are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies and Matthew Tysz the most precious metal they possess. I, too, would love to adorn Matthew Tysz in a garment of gold for writing this book. Because I am not rich, I cannot afford to do that. However, I believe Matthew Tysz will be happy to learn that I have settled to rate this book 4 out of 4 stars as a reward for its perfection.

I recommend We are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies to readers that want a unique fantasy novel. We are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies is the kind of book in which such readers deserve to be lost in. It has eight books after it, so if you choose to pick up this novel as a fantasy lover, be ready to pick up the other eight in the We are Voulhire series.
