Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a fictional book written from the perspective of a man who believes that the chaos in the world creates thoughts and builds character. He expresses his different experiences and vocational paths. He believed that chaos was the muse of creation and that good stories are born from choices made in the wake of madness.
This world is rife with strife and magic. The dreadful prospect of starvation or death by the sword forces a young man in the Lands of the Princes to leave his hometown and journey to Magnum Caelum, a region in the Kingdom of Voulhire. Galen Bray comes from the Lands of the Princes, where offenses are punishable by torture or immediate death. Fortunately, Galen's great uncle from Voulhire designates him as his heir when he passes away. They had made arrangements for Galen to move right away to Voulhire. Galen begins a new life as a blacksmith in the Kingdom of Voulhire because he is the only heir. Read along to see the adventures of Galen Bray.
The relationship between the book's flow and how the storyline takes you along with it was enjoyable to me. Each character's role is explained in detail. The book has a map of the imaginary world of Voulhire on the front page. I found it very creative and inspirational. Despite Galen Bary being the protagonist, he had a passive role and was known for his intolerance of injustice and cruelty. These attributes were admirable.
I disliked nothing about this book as it was captivating and had an intriguing concept. I do have a few suggestions to make about the book's content. The document's table of contents helps readers navigate the chapters and visualize them in sections. There should be chapter numbering and better titles instead of the characters' names, as this will help structure the table of contents.
This book is well-written and exceptionally well-edited. I gladly rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It had no errors, and I liked the concepts and plot of the book. There was nothing in this book that hindered my reading experience. I found this book to be very alluring and unique. For these reasons, it is deserving of such a rating.
I recommend this book to readers interested in fictional stories with multiple genres and themes. I recommend it to fantasy book lovers. I do not recommend it to younger readers as it contains some profane words.
