Chosen (The Warrior Chronicles, 1) by K.F. Breene

Post by allikat97 »

I was a bit skeptical of this book at first because of the title, I figured it was going to be like every other "Chosen one" book, but after reading a few pages, I was pleasantly surprised that it was very different. Shanti is a hunted woman with rare special abilities and she's on a journey to stay out of the grasp of an evil warlord but when she runs out of food and water she has nowhere to go. That is until she is found half-dead by a band of young men who bring her back to their compound and bring her back to health. But when the war she's desperate to avoid is at the doorstep of her saviors she must reveal her secrets and face the consequences. This book was a great read with well developed characters and an intriguing plot, I loved it and could not put it down.

I've read it and liked it as well. The second one is out and on my TBR list.

Wow. What a series. At first I thought, well here's another story about an O so special one, but no! How presently surprised I was when I was completely wrong. In fact, althouth Shanti was told her whole life she was " the chosen one" she never actually truly believed it, but since almost all her people died so that she can fulfill her destiny she feels like she has to succeed in her mission. With this weight on her shoulders and completely alone in the world she alone must try and free her people. I read Chosen and Hunted. Can't wait for book tree " Shadow Lands" to be released!
