We are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies By Mathew Tysz is a book set in a supernatural world, within a powerful nation whose king had divided small chain of islands off the main land of his empire to his four sons. And just as he predicted there was chaos between these lands. The book follows the story of Gavin Bray, a young man whose childhood was lost caught in the antagonism of these civil wars,as he flees to Voulhire to start anew. Will Gavin find this new beginning? Who exactly is Gavin, in this vast powerful nation of magic and diversity that he must learn and it's people's hidden truths?

The book's concept and eccentric plot line was enticing as it brought together a number of topics, from science and spirituality to psychology and politics. Which as a fantasy and science-fiction fan, am not used to reading in the same book. And yet it came together beautifully but still provided enough twists to keep everything interesting, all the thrill and the suspense.

I liked the many different characters shown for each chapter and how each character's lives were portrayed. All of them were an important piece in the story, truly, Mathew Lysz put his heart and soul on these characters. I appreciate that in the book there was more than Gavin's commentary. The change in the narrator really helped in understanding this diverse world and how widely situations affected different characters of different class and background.

There was nothing I didn't like about We are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies and I found no grammatical errors; it was exceptionally well edited.

Considering everything, I rate this book four out four. No stars were removed because the book did not contain any negative aspects.

I recommend this book to teenagers, adults and sci-fi fans. Action fiction readers might find something in this as well as the fights were so detailed and creative so it's something to look forward to. With the ending this book gave, I would love to pick up the next book in the series.
