Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz.]
Imagine living in a war-torn country where the rule of the jungle is in use. Imagine how you will survive in that kind of country where it’s about the survival of the fittest. Now imagine when you suddenly got some hope to escape this country. What did you feel?
The book is We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz. This book centers around the main character, Galen Bray. Galen is a refugee who manages to escape his war-torn country by acquiring the citizenship of Voulhire. He immigrated to Voulhire, feeling the wonder of a new place that differed greatly from his country of origin. Read this book to follow Galen's adventure in Voulhire, and how he starts falling in love with this nation.
Let’s give a big applause to the author as he has done a great job in writing this book. It has been written beautifully with good writing quality, excellent character design, good plot, and clean formatting. I like how the book was written in simple English, making it easy for me to understand. The plot also got me excited and made me want to keep reading this book. The format is also clean, making it easier for my eyes. I can keep reading without getting tired like always.
There are some characters’ actions that make me feel like watching the movie of Harry Potter . Like the expression of the characters feel a bit excessive as if to show it to childrens. That's the impression I get while reading this book.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. This rating is due to the book’s writing quality, character design, good plot, and clean formatting. The first paragraph got me hooked, made me read this book until the end. While there is something I didn’t like about this book, I don’t think I should blame the book for it. So there is no reason for me to give a rating lower than this. This book is exceptionally well-edited. I didn’t find any errors in the book. I cannot wait to read its sequels.
I recommend this book to young adults and above. As this book is the first book of a series called We are Voulhire series, I heavily recommend this book to avid fans of fantasy novels and series. Before reading the book, I also recommend that readers entertain the thought of reading its sequels later. Just in case you really like the novel. After all, this is the first book out of nine books in the series. This book contains crime, fantasy, murder, death, action, loyalty, corruption, war, magic, and patriotism. So if you are a fan of this kind of novel, feel free to read it. May all the readers enjoy this book.
