The first book in the We are Voulhire series is We are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz. The protagonist of this thrilling novel is Galen Bray from the Lands of Princes. The four princes of the Emperor of Lullabies are fighting over the control of their kingdom's regions. As a result of war and starvation, the people who live in this kingdom are in a worse situation. Galen, who despised war and violence, took advantage of his unseen uncle's will to take over his business in Voulhire. He marched toward Voulhire, hoping to live a peaceful life. The remaining story was what awaited him in this enigmatic land. Did Galen live a peaceful life? Who are the people he meets, and how will they influence or change his life? What kind of land is Voulhire? Is Voulhire a serene place?

The background setting of the Voulhire kingdom is the first thing I liked about the story. The author did an impressive job on picturing the Kingdom of Voulhire. The characters he created, from the king to the ordinary people, all contribute perfectly to the plot of the story. Even though Galen is the main character, there are a few other important characters. King Wilhelm, Lord Eldus, Lord Meldorath, Rowan, and others played influential roles in the story's development. Each character, including the protagonist, has an impact on the story as well as distinct characteristics. Another advantage of this book is the different perspectives he used to tell the story. It inspired us to imagine this story as a live action film. At the beginning of the story, the author included a map. He also included a glossary of new terms, places, and concepts he used at the end of the book. It made it easier to understand the basics of the great kingdom of Voulhire. The book was professionally edited without any grammatical or spelling errors. There is more in this story that will make your reading time enjoyable, such as fantasy and twists. The suspense added by the author in this novel, as well as the detailed narration he shared about Voulhire, will entice us to read the remaining books in this series.

Basically, I enjoy fantasy stories, and this one piqued my interest in learning more about Voulhire. Other than some violence in the book, I don't see any negative aspects in this book that would prevent sensitive readers from enjoying it as much as I did.

I rated this book 4 out of 4 stars. The story deserved a full rating. The author created a remarkable kingdom that will leave a lasting impression on you. Because it is the first book in the series, it entices readers to read the others as well. There are no editing or punctuation errors in the book. As a result, I did not reduce any stars.

I recommend it to fans of the fantasy genre. It has magic, suspense, humour, and mystery to keep you reading. Because it contains some violence, sensitive readers should avoid reading it. I recommend mature and young adults to read this book. If you enjoy reading sequel books, you should try this one because the suspense in this book will compel you to read the next book in the series.

The author did a great job and carefully crafted the Voulhirian universe, and the different characters' points of view made the book enjoyable.
