Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
Meldorath, a clever mage, storms Orlin's castle, whose atrocities against children come to light and is later killed. Orlin would feed greens to children to hear their gas. After Orlin's death, Lord Meldorath continues to be a magistrate, but he is also discovered to be carrying out evil acts. He experiments on people, and the King orders his arrest. Lord Meldorath was once good friends with the king, but the king does not trust him, so he sends spies to his castle who discover his human experiments.
Galen is also a young man in the book who travels to Voulhire, specifically after he learns about his dying uncle. He reaches the great Voulhire city after the death of his uncle and inherits his fortune. He starts a new life there, and many adventures come his way. Please find out more about the great fictional city of Voulhire and the amazing story it brings in the book We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz.
There are several things I loved about this book. Firstly I loved the storyline and the flow of events. The events collaborated well, and the storyline was interesting. I got hooked up from the first to the last page, and each character and event brought something new to the story, which made it more interesting.
Secondly, I loved that scenes in the book were properly described, and I clearly understood the events in the book. The conversations were also detailed, and I understood a lot about the book through the conversations. An example is a conversation between Rowan and Galen, which helped me understand the relationship between Galen and his late uncle. We also learn that Rowan is Galen's executor and the story of how Galen was tracked down comes to light. Another interesting conversation is the conversation that unveils the death of Meldorath and Orlin and, most importantly, the reasons for their death.
There is nothing I disliked about this book since it lived up to my expectations, and the storyline was mesmerising. I, therefore, rate the book 4 out of 4 stars because it's interesting, with an exciting turn out of events that left me wanting more from the book. The book seems to have been professionally edited since I encountered no errors.
I recommend this book to lovers of fantasy and fiction because the story is built on fictional characters and places. Persons who love books with magic will also enjoy this book because there are mages who practice magic in the book.
