The king of Lullabies, a very powerful and wicked ruler had three sons. He feared that they would conspire against him for his throne and so he gave each of them an island in his empire to rule. There was peace for a few years until the princes started to desire each other's land. This brought about a great war between the princes. The protagonist, Galen Bray was born on one of these islands and was eight when the war broke out. Twenty years later, a dying relative of Bray's from a land called Voulhire sent him a document which enabled him to escape the land of the princes to Voulhire. He took over from his relative and became a blacksmith. Lord Eldus, a respected judge is made the new lord is Hillport, a poor town which had endured a lot under the rule of the two previous lords, Olin and Meldorath, the mage. It is the King's desire that Hillport be made as prosperous as the other towns in Voulhire under the rule of Eldus. Is there a connection between these characters? If so, what is it? The answers can only be found in We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz.

We are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a science fiction thriller which portrays a world of science, imagination and magic. It also has certain aspects that make it seem like a political thriller. The combination of these two properties made it an action-packed addictive story.

This story had lots of good things about it. I liked the fact that adequate attention was given to most of the characters and not only the protagonist, This led to very good character development. The story had a very good plot and I admired the buildup of the story. This story had me hooked from the very first chapter with its unending suspense making me yearn for the satisfaction of my curiosity. It also had many entertaining scenes, especially the interaction between Rowan and the monk which made it something to look forward to. This made him my favorite character. He always made me laugh.

This story didn't have many downsides. I just felt that considering all the buildup, the story had the potential to produce a much better ending than it did.

I didn't notice any errors. The story was exceptionally edited. It had a very good plot and I enjoyed every bit of the suspense, the occasional political scenes and the comedy. I rate this story 4 out of 4 stars

I believe this story would satisfy any reader and so I recommend it to any reader, especially science fiction and thriller lovers. Due to the many brutal murder scenes, I would not recommend this book to younger audiences
