Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
Nothing in this world is evil, the only evil that exists is the one we created ourselves. We are voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies is a science fiction written by Matthew Tysz in 2018.
The kingdom of Voulhire is blessed with people who possessed magic. They were called mages. In this novel I was able to understand that magic is not evil but a tool that people can possess. It depends on the individual to choose whether to use his power for evil or good. In Voulhire some mages used their power to heal the sick and protect their citizens from enemies; Whereas others used theirs for oppressing people. This is a City also known for its beauty and flourishing business. The author talked about the life of two individuals Galen and the rule of king Wilhelm. Galen is an immigrant to voulhire. He came from the land of princes to meet his uncle in voulhire but unfortunately, his uncle passed away before his arrival. Galen's uncle left his inheritance for Galen and asked Rowan to help Galen to settle when he arrives. Meldorath was a powerful mage in Voulhire and a friend to king Wilhelm. He turned against his king when he discovered that the king no longer supported his actions. Meldorath became imprisoned by his friend king Wilhelm when he murdered the lord of Hillport called Orlin. The King appointed Eldus Alderman as the new lord of Hillport, but will Eldus and the people of Hillport be able to conquer the wrath of the powerful mage Dalehei Meldorath?
I found the book entertaining especially at the ending part. The author did a good job describing the places and the war scene involved. He was able to transition from one character's life to another properly without confusing the reader.
As much as I enjoyed this book, there were things I didn't like about it because I felt the book was incomplete. The role of the character Beth from the magic world called caromentis was not well detailed. The life of Galen and his mission to find out the mystery behind the black stone were ignored. The author didn't mention anything about what will become the future of Hillport after their last attack.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because I didn't find any errors in it. Which means it was exceptionally edited. The fact that I felt some things were missing was not enough reason for me to deduct any stars.
I encourage lovers of magic and war to read this book. This book contains some vulgar words which some people may find offensive but I don't think it is enough reason not to try this book.

I also didn't like that Beth's role wasn't well detailed. But asides that I gave the book a 4 out of 4 stars rating
