Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz.]
We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies is a book written by Matthew Tysz. The book is centred on two different worlds created by the writer. One of the worlds is called the Cosmos, which is said to be the real world; while the other is called Caromentis. Cosmos is believed to be where the human race exists, while Caromentis is believed to be the world of magical creatures. Voulhire is a kingdom or country which has many other sub-kingdoms under the rule of the great king Wilhelms. Every other kingdom under Voulhire is overseen by a lord. Some of these kingdoms include Soulhire, Virko, Hillport, Magnum Caulum, etcetera. Caromentis also has its own kingdoms and empires. Though an ordinary place without magic, there are those who live in the Cosmos who also possess some magical powers because they have some connection with the Caromentis world. However, some of those with magical powers in the Cosmos use their powers to do evil, and this creates evil in the land.
Voulhire is a world of its own. The writer has written a book with many interesting characters. There are magical beings, ordinary people, and even those who are power drunk. The different activities of the various characters all contribute to the conflict the writer demonstrated in the book. Meldorath, who is likely the villain, was stylishly introduced towards the end of the book. His appearance brought nothing but death and pain. When he informed Eldus of his impending demise, he brought an end to the reign of the good lord, Eldus of Hillport; and this came to pass when he and his family were murdered by the people of Riva Rohavi. The book is a good work of fantasy. Positive aspects of the book include the fact that the book has a lot of suspense that would make one want to know more. It is yet another piece that speaks volumes about the power of creativity.
The book is a good work of fiction. There is hardly anything I dislike about this book being simply a creative work of art.
This book is a beautiful work of art. Apart from the qualities stated above, the book was well written. In other words, the book has no errors. I, therefore, rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.
We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies is clearly a work of fiction. Consequently, I recommend this book to lovers of fiction writing and generally to lovers of literature. But even more specifically, lovers of fantasy.
