We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is the first installment of the We are Voulhire series, which tells the remarkable tale of Galen Bray and other characters. Galen Bray relocated to Voulhire, where he amassed wealth and continued his uncle's business. By inheriting his uncle’s property in the wealthy and stunning country of Voulhire, he has been fortunate enough to escape his homeland. Galen is grateful for the opportunity provided to him and determined to use his new start to build a successful life. Galen Bray had no prior forging experience when he received a forge from his uncle. He meets several people who assist him while he is in the Voulhire. The two of them embarked on an adventure to update the forge after one of them served as his uncle's executor while learning about the business. They soon run into many unanticipated challenges, and strange things start happening in Voulhire. In light of the terrifying, unknown events taking place throughout the realm, Galen's goals appear to be nothing more than a pipe dream. With Rowan's assistance, Galen will get further information about his inheritance, so he can carry on his great uncle's work and settle into his new home.

The way the author introduced the characters was great, and I liked his writing style. The characters are distinctive and well-developed. I particularly liked how some characters' backstories were revealed through the imaginative use of items like diaries and journals. The reference section at the end of the book, which defined the terms used on, was particularly helpful to me. The historical setting on which the story was based was realistically portrayed in the narrative. It was exciting to anticipate the social politics in this book.

There was nothing about the book that I didn't like. The book had excellent writing and was enjoyable to read. Although it can be challenging to keep track of all the names and subjects that are mentioned in the book, aside from that, I relished reading this book. I liked how the author used alternating points of view to show the reader what the main protagonist's thoughts are like, as well as what's going on throughout the kingdom. The reader is also given wonderful images, which makes the book intriguing.

I appreciated how the author set up this book because I enjoyed reading it from the beginning to the end. The book was fascinating and exceptional. I really appreciated the author's idea to use this first book to introduce the series' plot. There were no grammatical errors or mistakes in it; therefore, it was professionally edited. As a result, I am rating this book 4 out of 4 stars.

I recommend this book to individuals who enjoy fiction stories with magic, action, and suspense.
