Review of A New Dawn

[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "A New Dawn" by Reginald Andah.]
Myth, religion, and science are three very different fields that have played tremendous parts in shaping society today. Though corresponding in some ways, these three have remained very distinct in their expressions and convictions. However, in a splendid show of penmanship, Reginald Andah, in his book, A New Dawn, merges this three to deliver a truly mind-blowing piece of art.
Set in a world in the future, the book begins with some humans awake on a spaceship after a period of cryostasis, a scientific process that preserves the human body. By constantly listening to messages of the war on Earth, they realise the decline of Earth and man's existence. Xander is lucky enough to remember his past relationship with Leona, a soldier, and slowly, they try to recreate what they once had. To help the population survive, the soldiers are deployed to parts of the Earth on dangerous missions to retrieve essentials for the ships while non-soldiers constantly train to be of help. Xander's natural ability quickly singles him out as he miraculously escapes death on different occasions despite the odds. Surrounded by death and evil beings, they must unite and fight against these forces, but what happens when it seems like the enemy isn't so far away and every truth might be a cleverly concealed lie?
For the first time, I've come across a book that makes science fiction absolutely riveting. This book is an absolutely wonderful one, and from its first pages, I was completely absorbed in it. I liked how the author wove together myth, religion, and science together to create a very realistic world. Also, the level of intrigue and suspense in this book was amazing. Being a lover of suspense, I was constantly impressed. Another thing I really liked about this book was how inclusive it came across to me. It can easily be read by anybody despite age, class, or background. I particularly appreciated this. The end was also really nice. While it delivered a suitable end to this part of the story, it left the reader anticipating more. This book was also professionally edited. I spotted only a few errors in it.
I didn't really find any negative aspects to this book. I did dislike the length of it because it made it drag a bit, but the storyline of the book made up for it.
I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I am giving it a perfect rating because I really loved every moment of reading this book. There was no reason strong enough to warrant the removal of a star.
I would recommend this book to anybody that loves science fiction as well as stories set in the future and basically to everyone.
