Vanishing Acts by Jodi Picoult

Seeing as I love Jodi Picoult and I've read almost all of her books I decided to take the plunge and read this one, almost completing her works. At first I thought the book sounded intriguing, but it just kept getting weirder and weirder, and I really struggled to stay interested.
The beginning was really slow and it introduced a lot of characters at once which made it extremely confusing. It all did make sense in the end and there were parts of it I really liked, however, it most certainly was not one of her best books.
Vanishing Acts explores the paranormal and supernatural aspects of life (if you believe in them) and it just went a bit too far fetched for my liking. The end seemed preposterous and I really couldn't get past that.
I love Jodi Picoult and I don't want to turn anyone off of her books because I think they're amazing, but this one was definitely a let down.
