Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz.]
We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is the first installment of the We are Voulhire series, which is a fantasy novel. The book takes us to the enchanted realm of Voulhire. The term “New Arrival” refers to Galen Bray, who moves to Magnum Caelum after receiving his great-uncle's forge. On the land of Princes, where Galen was raised, the four emperor's heirs were engaged in a never-ending war. Galen was happy to have a reason to leave his hometown and begin a new, peaceful life in Voulhire as a result. He is appreciative of Voulhire's welcoming hospitality. He also establishes friendships quickly and begins learning his uncle's steel-forging trade. However, nothing is what it seems. There is unrest brewing in the kingdom of Voulhire.
This book had so many aspects that I loved and admired. I found it easy to follow the plot thanks to the author's reference guide to Voulhire at the back of the book, which contains words and phrases from the book. A map of Voulhire and its cities is also included so that the reader can follow the character's route. The fact that the viewpoint shifts frequently throughout the book is something I found appealing, and I liked the author's use of clarity and specificity to tell his tale. I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait to read the next installment in the series. The language used by the author was straightforward and easy to understand, and reading the book was engaging. I could clearly picture the written scenes and the characters' emotions.
There was nothing that I disliked about the book. It was well-written and fascinating to read. The book had a compelling story. I felt as though I were there with them because the descriptions were so thorough. Even though there are numerous characters in the book, it can be challenging to remember all the characters and things that are mentioned; apart from that, it was an intriguing book that I loved from start to finish.
It's really an exceptional book that captured my attention from beginning to end. Once I started reading it, I was unable to put it down. I also want to emphasize what a stunning beginning this book had. There were no grammatical errors or mistakes in it; therefore, it was exceptionally well edited. As a result, I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars.
I recommend this volume for readers who enjoy fiction stories with magic, action, and suspense.
