Terms of Service, by Craig W. Stanfill, is a fictional book. A magnificent new world where everything is done easily by technology, almost like magic, is set in a futuristic society where every element of a citizen's life is monitored, documented, and controlled by the companies and hierarchy through the use of Artificial intelligence (AI). Although Kim, our main character, is unhappy and dissatisfied with her life and understands that breaking the law is not an option, she has never been good at saying no to Shan, her best friend, who is not very adept at abiding by the law. Kim learns that things are not always as they appear when what was intended to be a straightforward bike ride on a new trail turned into a scary misadventure.

I enjoy how the author opens this novel by using descriptive phrases to introduce the reader to the setting. This made it simple for me to read the entire book without running into any kind of difficulties. The division and arrangement struck me as quite intriguing. The book is organized into three parts, each of which is named after a different phase of the seasonal cycle. Kim's life is steadily changing, just like these seasonal changes. It was uplifting to read of her longing for her mother, recurrent nightmares, and need for affection. It's also impressive how hard the author worked to infuse humor in this book. This book's characters were well-developed as well.

There was nothing that I disliked about the book; it was well-written and interesting to read. Although, the only thing I disliked in this book was that the beginning was a bit slow. Other than that, it was a great book, and I enjoyed reading it. One of my favorite aspects of the novel is the mystical vibe: everything is possible on voice command, and the appliances are sentient, like living beings. A topical subject was given a twist, which gave the tale a deeper significance. Kim's interactions with the AI and her household appliances were both amusing and touching.

This is an excellent story about questioning all parts of our lives and not mindlessly following society. The novel appeals to young adult readers, who will enjoy the main character's inquisitive temperament and refusal to blindly obey regulations. There were no grammatical errors or mistakes in it; therefore, it was exceptionally well edited. As a result, I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I would highly recommend this book to any reader who is interested in science fiction, fantasy, mystery, or even romance.
