Review of Terms of Service
Terms of Service by Craig W. Stanfill is a science fiction novel based in a futuristic world where AI rules over humans. The story follows Kim, a young and ambitious woman who works as a teacher of automation at an AI company. In the beginning, it seems she enjoys her job at the Artificial Intelligence Company and plans to work with advanced AIs, but as the plot develops, she is punished for unintentionally knowing too much. With time, she becomes confused and has so many questions about the AI's dominance, her freedom, and the nature of her work.
When Shan, her best friend, returned to her life, everything changed. Shan was more reckless and adventurous than Kim, and after a risky bicycle adventure, which they eventually got punished for, Kim had a better understanding of her surroundings. She discovers the highly protected secrets of those in power and decides that it's time to take charge of her life after receiving a new project from the company where she works. Will she be able to break free from society?
Craig W. Stanfill's novel Terms of Service shows what it's like to live in a dystopian society. The story shows how the lives of the characters are controlled from childhood by those in positions of authority. They use AIs to monitor every aspect of their lives, including what they eat, who they date, and whether their words and actions follow the rules that govern them. The worse thing is that these people believe they are free, not knowing that they are dancing to the tunes of their deceptive superiors. I cannot imagine living in a world like his, and I appreciate the author's attempts to shed light on the future of AI.
Shan is my favorite character. I love her adventurous spirit and confidence. The plot was easy to follow, and the entire story seems very realistic. I found the book interesting because I have always had an interest in technology, especially AI, and how it can impact human lives.
Apart from the erotic content that I found in some parts, there was nothing to dislike. The book is completely free from errors. I commend its exceptional editing.
I enjoyed reading this book, so I rate it 5 out of 5 stars. It deserves a perfect rating because I had nothing to complain about. It was completely flawless. I would love to read more books like this.
I recommend this book to lovers of sci-fi stories and futuristic novels.
