Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz.]
We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is one captivating story. It happens during the time of kings and Lords. The story has different scenes, but for most part, the city of Voulhire dominates. Voulhire is a great city that has gone through a series of struggles just to get to where it is. Through the leadership of King Wilhelm, Voulharian citizens get back on their feet. In another land afar, there lives a young man called Galen Bray. He is born during a time when there are wars and conflicts in the lands of the princes. There is no peace, and death is inevitable on these lands. Galen lives in fear each and every day, but things are about to change very fast. He is about to leave all these struggles behind, once and for all.
Some positive aspects in We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies include its themes. Something that clearly stood out was leadership. There is struggle for power as always, but we do have characters like Eldus, who portray good leadership. He tries so hard to bring sanity to Hillport through his great leadership skills. He brings the people closer and assures them that he is there for them. Furthermore, he is also depicted as an integral and honest man. Just through reading the book, you can clearly tell the character of individuals even without getting further information about them. This is a fascinating concept that gives the book life. There is a rich sense of humour in the book. For instance, Rowan, who is Galen’s companion, is portrayed as a very funny character. His funny trait and sense of humour really gives more life to the book.
I did not see any negative aspects to We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies. It was exceptionally well edited.
I rate We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies 5 out of 5 . This is so because it is a masterpiece, and a true work of art. The level of tension that the author is able to create through the scenes in the story is something I appreciate. Additionally, it has an amazing flow, and the story builds up as one keeps reading through, hence some questions are addressed as you go deeper.
I would recommend We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies to lovers of mysterious stories. Additionally, if you love conspiracy and seeing how the truth unfolds, then you will love this piece. There are plenty of secrets and mysteries in this book, and following along as some of them unfold will intrigue you.
