Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
The amazing novel We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is packed with fantastic adventures and magical elements. Galen Bray, a character in the novel, is from the Lands of the Princes, where life has almost become unbearable since the civil war between the emperor's sons broke out and destroyed everything in its wake. Galen had already made up his mind to move, and as luck would have it, he was given the chance to work as a blacksmith in the Kingdom of Voulhire, where he served as the sole heir to his deceased uncle. Galen didn't lose any time in setting out to relocate and dwell in the captivating mystical realm of Voulhire. Unfortunately, Galen was soon to learn that the Kingdom of Voulhire was not as perfect as it appeared on the outside and that demons were hiding in every part of the country. Galen appeared to be stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea in a kingdom plagued by corruption, a desire for power, and control, and a weak monarch unable to tackle the issue. Please read this book if you want to learn more about the intriguing tale mentioned above.
This intriguing novel was delightful to me. There are many supernatural elements and fascinating locations in the books. Additionally, the author spent the necessary time carefully crafting each of his characters, and the book is brimming with wonderful characters who are both lovable and interesting. Meldorath, who was the most crafty, nasty, and egregiously evil character in the entire novel, was my favourite; as such, he served as the ideal hook to hold readers' attention throughout the entire work. The beginning of the novel was slow, but it seemed reasonable given that the author was striving to make the upcoming narrative as perfect as possible. Because of his great imagination, I admire how the author came up with so many unique and intriguing names for the characters and locations throughout the book.
I didn't find anything in this book to be abhorrent. The book exceeded my expectations and was an excellent read.
I would like to express my appreciation for the author's efforts in creating these intriguing fictional worlds. He also included a map at the beginning of the book that was very helpful in understanding the plot. The book also includes a reference guide at the end of the book that contains information about the new sequence of terms and phrases used throughout the book, demonstrating the author's thoughtfulness. Aside from that, I discovered very few grammatical mistakes in this book, which makes me think it was professionally edited. I would want to give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars, taking into account all I have mentioned thus far.
Any adult who enjoys the interesting world of magic and adventures—which also feature war and powerful villains to keep you entertained throughout the novel—should read this book, in my opinion. Additionally, readers should be informed that the novel contains profanity and sexual content.
