Review of Terms of Service
Craig W. Stanfill's Terms of Service: Subject to Change Without Notice is a fascinating piece of science fiction set in a futuristic, artificial intelligence-driven world. We follow the protagonist, Kim, who works at an AI business, as she discovers the reality of the world in which she lives. In Term-of-Service by Craig W. Stanfill, love and friendship are interwoven with drugs, mind-boggling blackouts, years of suffocating oppression, and anger problems that have been pushed down.
I liked how the author began the novel by introducing the main character and their universe. It aided the reader in setting the location and environment. I enjoy how the reader was given access to so many details about Artificial Intelligence. A well-written narrative with troubling reminders of what is happening today and what is easily foreseeable as happening in the future. The story was well-balanced in terms of world-building and character development. This piece adds a well-written view of a possible future ruled by tech corporations. The book is well-organized. It has a smooth storyline, even though it starts slowly. I believe that many people would identify with Kim's struggles as a working adult seeking meaning in life. One thing I liked about this book was how it sparked my creativity. As imaginary as this novel was, I enjoyed how it was able to convey lessons and mirror events in our everyday lives.
This book was fantastic! It was quite thought-provoking. I can see it happening in the future as the government obtains greater power. It's a little terrifying because it mentions the epidemic, immunizations, and people having blind faith in the government establishing laws for our benefit. I can't think of anything I didn't appreciate about this book. In general, I enjoyed the book.
It was particularly well-edited because there were no grammatical flaws or blunders. The ending is shocking, but it also makes me eager for the sequel.
Terms of Service by Craig W. Stanfill gets a rating of 5 out of 5 stars from me since it introduced me to new concepts. The concepts were crisp and enticing. The plot was engaging. Also, because the protagonist's connection with her AI is developed with some subtlety, I found it fascinating. I did not see a reason to remove a star from my rating.
I'd recommend this work to anyone who likes science fiction stories that aren't hesitant to criticize modern society. I also recommend the book to anyone who wants to get their imagination going and get a clear picture of a made-up world where artificial intelligence is very important to people's lives.
