The story[ i]We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great skies [/i] is a historical fiction story by Matthew Tysz. The author narrates the story of the enchanting kingdom of Voulhire. This kingdom was controlled and governed by lords and mages. The themes of magic influence, war, and politics along with the spirit of adventure are much evident in this story. Galen Bray is featured as the main character, who is an orphan and resides in the land of princes. He had fled his homeland to a city in Voulhire, Magnum Caelum. Discover the mysteries of Voulhire's kingdom in this story.
The author's writing approach is captivating. It kept me riveted throughout the reading. The character development the author employed was top-notch. The novel contained a lot of characters but what I adored most is how the author gave each character space/chapter to grow. The flawless flow of the plot made it easy for me to switch between each character as I read from numerous perspectives. I love the way Galen is featured as a humble, devoted, and polite guy who aspired to respect his uncle for the liberty upon him. The author's narration is straightforward and also exhaustively unfolds the mysteries of Voulhire's kingdom. I also loved the way the book is structured and the humor it possed. The book is fabulous and the author not only did he make it easier for the reader to understand the novel but was also full of fun. How the author expressively describes some events and its citation was glamorous. The vivid manner in which the author figured out some actions and their exhaustive narration was more pleasing. Also, the creativity and the comprehensive manner in the kingdom of Voulhire are pictured together with her attributes ( location, governance, etc) is also quite commendable.
I found nothing absurd about the story after much deliberation. I must appreciate the author's style of writing, book structuring, flawless plot flow, character development, vivid and exhaustive narration together with the use of simple language which fostered the book's quality. I also loved the themes the author portrayed in this novel which are eye-lightening.
The book is exceptionally well edited and I am pleased to award it 5 out of 5 stars. I was deeply immersed in the pool of thoughts the author created. Its chronological flow and sequential overturn of events bolstered the story's quality. It also possessed numerous twists and suspense which kept the reader fully engaged.
I would recommend this book to those older people who love and appreciate historical fiction books, specifically those who enjoy dark scenes because this book is occupied by more killings/deaths.
