When an individual takes no chance, it simply means that such a person is wasting their dreams. In his book, Terms of Service, Craig W. Stanfill delves into freedom and self-discovery. It is steeped in the themes of humanity, change, and corruption.

Artificial intelligence had total control of Kim’s world to the point where she had no say in the type of food she could eat. Working at The Artificial Intelligence Company, Kim’s job was to train AIs. Everything begins to fall out of control in Kim’s world after an expedition she had with her friend, Shan. She soon discovers that not everything is as it seems, and there is more to her existence than she knew. That leads her to embark on a journey to understand her identity. What can go wrong when the faith and survival of humanity rest in the hands of artificial technology? Will Kim find herself despite what life throws at her? Read this thrilling book to find answers to this question and more.

The book is well structured and highly organized. This 332-page book is divided into parts, with each one focusing on a particular stage of Kim’s life. I commend the author for being a great writer and creating an incredible storyline that looks into the future and gives a clear picture of the power technology can wield over humanity. Looking at the way technology has made itself valuable in this present time and has a significant role to play in man’s daily activities, the author’s concept is not far-fetched. The author’s choice of words is simple. Although this is a sci-fi book, anyone can pick it up and understand it. The author was well detailed with every description, and it is one of the things that makes the book a good read.

There are several things I love about this book, but one of the things that attracted me the most is that it is relatable to the society I find myself. Also, the book delves into the notion of corruption, a concept I am familiar with. I understood how Kim felt most of the time because her emotions were familiar. I particularly find the character of Kim fascinating; although she is an AI, I love how she exhibits human emotions. It made me think of technology as more than just an aid to make life easy.

While reading the book, I did not encounter any grammatical errors. Also, there is nothing I dislike about this book. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because it is relatable and teaches lessons relevant to every individual’s lifestyle.

In conclusion, I recommend this book to individuals who enjoy sci-fi books. Readers will get a thrill from the discoveries uncovered in the book. This book is the first in its series, and I am eager to know what awaits Kim in the next part. I was glued to every page, and it was refreshing to learn more about technology, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from an author with a Ph.D. in artificial intelligence.
