Matthew Tysz's fictional and fantasy novel We Are Voulhire; A New Arrival Under Great Skies. It is the first book in the We Are Voulhire series. It's a fantastic book with mystery, magic, and adventure. This book does a good job of illustrating the power struggle, the longing for liberation, the suffering of the populace, malnutrition, and dread.

In his long reign as king of Voulhire, King Wilherm has shown himself to be a capable leader. He still has to deal with some mistrust from his chancellors, whom he perceives as wanting his throne. He longs for the simpler times when he was younger and more carefree and didn't have to worry about so many difficult problems and conflicts. The king must constantly maintain a nice face while acting honourably and making wise choices that will benefit his subjects.

Galen, a modest young man who fled to the Lands of the Princes, overcame the difficulties and hardships of the war-torn countries. At the first opportunity, he flees and takes his uncle's inheritance. The ruler of the prince's country was an Emperor, who predicted a conspiracy to depose him by his four sons. He dismissed the princes from their positions after realizing his mistake. Provide them with an army and a single tiny island apiece for self-defence. However, this choice proved devastating, causing violence and suffering for the locals.

I loved how precisely the structures, surroundings, and clothing were described. The author successfully created a highly realistic virtual experience for the reader. The book has highly interesting language throughout. The book also illustrates the amount of labour required to run a kingdom and how challenging it is. The character backstories were also enjoyable to me; they added interest and made the plot more realistic. Because of how brilliantly written the book is, the author was able to keep me on the edge of my seat.

I didn't like how the author occasionally mixed first-person and third-person narratives. Because there was no real way to discern whether one was already with another narrator right away, this made the book unclear.

I rated this book 5 out of 5 stars because I thought it was really good. The tension and unexpected story twist were fascinating. The book struck a good balance. The book is properly edited, and I discovered no errors in it. I would recommend the book to readers interested in mysterious, ancient, adventurous, and historical books.
