Review of Terms of Service
We are gradually approaching a world in which we will be able to communicate with AIs. Terms of Service is an intriguing sci-fi novel about an employee who manages AIs, but events force her to make drastic decisions to save civilization. This book is written by Craig W. Stanfill.
Kim is a brilliant young woman who studies artificial intelligence. She works for an artificial intelligence company and is required to work with several robots. AIs assisted her in almost all of her daily activities and emotions. Every employee must follow the company's terms and conditions. Kim has been an excellent employee who has followed the rules for the past five years and has been promoted to work with high-order AIs. This new position puts her in a difficult situation because she meets an AI named Kimberly who has gone rogue and has begun malfunctioning. Kim sees this as a major threat to civilization and has decided to act on instinct rather than the terms and conditions that govern the company. What kind of punishment will Kim face? Get a copy of this intriguing science fiction book to find out.
The protagonist's character development is fantastic. The author constructs the plot in such a way that the reader feels as if they are watching a movie. Kim strikes me as a likable and hardworking character. The author went into great detail about the robot-human dialogues. Kim's interaction with her housebot was fantastic. It's full of humor and emotions. The author immerses the reader in Kim's emotions as she interacts with the AIs. The sci-fi elements are simple to grasp. This book's setting was fantastic. It depicts Kim's life both at work and outside of work. The scenes in the company are thrilling and suspenseful. The book demonstrates the benefits and drawbacks of artificial intelligence for modern civilization.
I have no complaints about this book. This is my first time reading a book about human-AI interactions. The author attempts to awaken the reader to the fact that some creepy AIs have been invented, and some of the scenes encountered by Kim in this book are relatable to real life. When working for a company like this, many employees face huge setbacks that could cost them their lives. All of this is done for the benefit of the company's bottom line at the expense of their employees' careers.
I'm rating this book 5 out of 5 stars because of the positive aspects I discovered in it, which are detailed in my review. This book was exceptionally well-edited. This book's paragraphs and format were both excellent. There were no grammatical errors in it that I could find. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy science fiction and books about artificial intelligence.
