Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, written by Matthew Tysz, is the first installment in a fantasy series that follows the life of a young man named Galen. Galen, who was saved from his plight and suffering by his deceased uncle from the Lands of the Princes, his now in Magnum Caelum in Voulhire, where he has been given the trust of his deceased uncle's possessions, including a home, money, and a forge. He sets out to discover his full potential as a blacksmith to help him run the business that his late uncle left behind for him. His kindness, innocence, and trustworthiness bring him down in a world where no one can be trusted.
The glossary of words, ideas, and names exclusive to the Voulhire universe that was supplied at the end of the book is fantastic. A map is also included at the start of the book to help readers picture the Voulhire realm. This book's plot is particularly interesting because it introduces numerous characters, their roles, and unresolved issues. The plot was easy to visualize and understand because of the author's detailed description. The characters were expertly created. I adore how comparable Galen Bray's character is to someone living in another country. I must commend the author for this because it demonstrates the amount of effort he put into writing this book. Galen and Rowan have so far been my favorite characters in the novel. I found it admirable that Rowan stepped forward to assist Galen and that they were able to unite despite having quite different upbringings and life experiences.
There was nothing about the book that I didn't like; it was fascinating. Apart from that, I loved reading this book, even though it was sometimes difficult to remember all the names and things that were addressed in it. I also really like how the story starts off. Because it revealed details of Galen's life before relocating to Voulhire and the truth about the Lands of the Princes, it sparked my curiosity and held me enthralled. The book's inclusion of several viewpoints pleased me. The author excellently did the writing. It was simple to grasp and follow. The book's detailing was great, and the author did an impressive job on it. The characters had a lot of depth.
I am rating this book, We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, 5 out of 5 stars because it was compelling and well written. There were no grammatical errors or mistakes; therefore, it was exceptionally well edited.
I recommend this book to lovers of fantasy, fiction, action, suspense, and thrillers.
