We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a book that tells the story of a young man named Galen Bray who flees from an island known as the Lands of the Princes. The Land of the Princes is a war zone ruled by the four sons of a wicked emperor. Successfully escaping, he travels to Voulhire, a kingdom he believed would give him the opportunity for a new life free of war, suffering, and pain. Voulhire is a religiopolitical kingdom that is widely known to be prosperous, filled with knights and warriors, lords and ladies, governors and mayors, mages and industrious citizens. For Galen, he found it to be a place of peace, free of frustration as his uncle had left him possessions that included a home and a blacksmith business. It pleased him to know that his new life at Voulhire would be different from the one he experienced at the Lands of Princes. Meanwhile, there is a dark mystery in areas within the peaceful kingdom that most people do not know. There are secrets yet uncovered, threats yet eliminated, lies yet confessed and a King who knew all these and for the sake of his people, looked to reforming the unpalatable state of the land while keeping them in the dark. How does the story end?

We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a captivating story that interchanges between the first-person and the third-person narratives. The book revolves around the different cultures of the people in the story. It tells the tale of Galen's adventure and Meldorath's emergence. I love the plot and the storyline of this book. The author did a good job with the characterization of this story, and I love the author's usage of understandable words to describe the characters' actions and emotions.

I enjoyed reading this work of fiction. However, I noticed a few negative aspects while reading this book. The book does not have a cover page, and I do not like the rate of profane words in the book. The book also does not have a table of contents to allow for effective reading.

The positive aspects that I noticed while reading this book revolve around the personality and attitudes of the characters in the story. I like Lord Eldus's humble personality, and I admire Galen's naive nature.

This book was well written. We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies was exceptionally edited, and I did not notice any form of error while reading this work of science fiction.

Every one of us is born with individual capabilities and strength, and it is necessary for one to use and harness the strength we have. I learned about determination and perseverance from Meldorath, and I also learned about humility from Lord Eldus. I recommend this book to lovers of fiction and fantasy. Therefore, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars due to the few points mentioned above and because of its spectacular storyline.
