We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz introduces readers to the fascinating new world of knights and traitors, kings and court intrigues, and honest labor. The author brilliantly describes this fantastical world and all of its towns. Every city serves a specific purpose, whether it is for fishing, manufacturing, government, or religion.

King Wilhelm is in charge of the prosperous and dynamic Kingdom of Voulhire. But while its citizens enjoy comfortable lives, evil waits in the shadows, undetected by anyone. Young Galen Bray comes from the Lands of the Princes, a region that has long been plagued by strife. In order to take over the blacksmithing business owned by his uncle, he traveled to Voulhire. A series of events occur as Galen begins his new life and studies the craft of the forge. These occurrences may ultimately turn his new home into another battleground.

Each character in this book had a distinct feel and was well developed. Galen's generosity, Lord Eldus' consideration, and Rowan's sense of humor were all well appreciated. Voulhire, with all of its components, from its own religion to the various types of steel found there, must have taken a lot of effort for Matthew Tysz to create. I appreciated how Galen's curiosity allowed me to discover more about Voulhire through his eyes. The book's pace pleased me as well. It helped to keep track of all the characters and wasn't too quick. Understanding the Voulhirian terms was also made a lot easier by the glossary at the end of the book.

This novel had excellent writing and storyline. The conversations employed by the author were captivating, and each character's speech pattern was distinctive in its own right. It reduced ambiguity and facilitated my understanding. Although it is fiction, the world-building was good; it seemed accessible and believable. Even the supporting characters' roles had an impact on the plot. It made the book engaging because fresh secrets and dynamics were revealed on every page. My favorite character is Galen because he is so attentive and humble. By learning blacksmithing in accordance with his uncle's instructions, he demonstrated his humility. He made sure the forge thrived by carefully adhering to his uncle's instructions.

Eldus was an admirable leader who zealously served the people of Hillport by putting their needs ahead of his own. The novel also has humorous and sarcastic passages; these features add to its enjoyment. There was nothing about the book that I didn't like. I give it 5 out of 5 stars since it is deserving of them. It was simple to read, had a compelling plot, and had wonderful characters. Because I could not find any errors, I can say that it was exceptionally well edited.

The novel is nevertheless entertaining despite the graphic descriptions of violence, swearing, and sexual jokes that are present. I recommend the book to fantasy fans who enjoy learning about new, magical universes. Because there are detailed depictions of brutality and death scenes, I wouldn't suggest it to those who are easily offended.

I really enjoyed reading your review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz. You did a great job summarizing the plot and analyzing the characters. I especially appreciate the detail you went into about the characters, as it made them more real and relatable.
A reader lives a thousand lives before they die. What is more marvelous, more wholesome, more exquisite, than exploring all the worlds and universes that humanity can ever conceive?

The opening map of Voulhire sounds like a helpful addition to the book, and I'm glad to hear that it aided the reviewer's understanding of the setting. It's always nice when books include explanations of unfamiliar terms, so it's good to know that "We are Voulhire" provides some clarity in that regard.

I appreciate that the review mentions the implications of pursuing wealth and power, which sounds like a theme that could be explored in an interesting way. The fact that Voulhire is experiencing rapid economic expansion and is not immune to problems brought about by change is a relevant topic in today's world.

The book's themes of power and wealth could make it a particularly relevant read in today's world, where issues of inequality and social justice are at the forefront of many discussions. The fact that the book is well-structured and well-edited suggests that the author is a skilled storyteller who knows how to craft a compelling narrative.

This book review provides an excellent summary of the book's plot and characters. The author seems to have put a lot of effort into building the world of Voulhire, and it shows in the writing. It's interesting that the author has created a unique religion for the world of Voulhire.
