Review of Resonant
Meetings and cooperation with a top-secret military project on comprehending humpback whales by a retired mathematician. He begs his acquaintance and military link to find out about the true nature of the project and to determine whether his buddy's life would be in any danger after his friend, a former math student, tells him of her experience working offshore under the supervision of designated navy personnel. Unfortunately, upon more investigation, he finds that his suspicions were correct and that some unusual occurrences surrounding humpback whales have previously happened to people involved in projects similar to the one he is working on. His military background helps him get out of a tight spot when things start to become bad and gives him advice on how to prevent himself from getting into more trouble. In order to facilitate the process, he also provides him with remuneration. Fortunately, the retired mathematician's research—which he conducted with the aid of his friends—is sufficient for him to summarize and offer insightful explanations to people who might need to access the material in the future.
This book was quite educational, and I learned a lot about how humpback whales communicate with one another as well as the potential history of humpback whale contact with humans. The way humpback whales communicate has been compared to the resonance of particular musical instruments that help recreate their sounds. Prime numbers can be used to symbolize and provide an explanation for these wonderful creatures' language.
The ability of the retired mathematician, who is knowledgeable in musical theory and skilled at playing a variety of instruments, to quickly understand not only what the whales are saying but also what communications they have been passing along to one another over the past few years and how they feel about humans, demonstrates the connection between mathematicians and musicians.
A perfect score should be given to Robert Leet's book Resonant. Sincerely speaking, I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5. It's unusual to find a nonfiction book of this size that holds your attention all the way to the very end. Even though I'm studying science, I learned a lot from this book, which I really enjoy. Nothing about it was objectionable.
This book also has a terrific inspirational message and is expertly written, edited, and easy to read.
As a result, I heartily suggest this book to readers who enjoy science fiction and who wish to deepen their understanding of physics and mathematics.
