Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is the first book in the series of ‘We are Voulhire,’ and it is a fantasy novel that delves into the world of kingdoms, religion, culture, magic, and supernatural forces.
The book follows the lives of several important characters who, at some point, occupied the highest offices in the kingdoms assigned to them. Their kingdoms were different, and so were their leadership styles.
One of the characters in the book is Meldorath, who possesses magical powers that he uses for evil. His name is mentioned throughout the book and paralyzes people from all corners of Voulhire with fear. Another character is Lord Eldus, who was a judge before being appointed as a lord. He is a rational, astute, and respected leader who serves his people with pride. However, the book starts by introducing the readers to Galen, who is neither a king nor a judge. He is a normal man who came into an inheritance that changed the trajectory of his life.
Galen Bray is a refugee who has fled his war-torn homeland and found a new home in the country of Voulhire. As he begins to settle into his new surroundings, he starts to explore and learn more about the country and its people. As he delves deeper into the culture and society of Voulhire, he also starts to gain a greater understanding of the world as a whole. Through his interactions with the diverse inhabitants of Voulhire, he begins to notice subtle clues about humanity's relationship with the universe.
As Galen continues to explore and learn about Voulhire and the world, he finds that the clues he had been noticing are not just random but rather part of a larger narrative that ties everything together. He discovers that the world is a complex and interconnected place, with each individual and society playing a role in the larger story.
Through his journey, Galen comes to understand that the world is not just made up of isolated pieces but is instead a tapestry of different cultures and stories that are woven together to create a beautiful and intricate whole. Galen Bray's story is a powerful tale of how one individual's journey can lead to a greater understanding of the world around us. Through his experiences in Voulhire, Galen comes to understand the complexities of humanity's relationship with the universe and the interconnectedness of all things. His story is a reminder that even in the midst of conflict and suffering, there is still hope for understanding, growth, and a better future.
We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz, is well-written and exceptionally edited, making it easy for readers to follow the chain of events that unfold in the lives of unique characters without confusion or losing the plot. The descriptive nature of the book impressed me, and I could vividly imagine the events as they unfolded.
However, one thing I disliked in the book was the death of one character, Lord Eldus. I had high hopes for his character, and I was disappointed when he died.
In conclusion, the book is an engaging and thought-provoking fantasy novel that is worth reading. The book has profanities and low sexual content, and I didn't find any errors that are worth deducting any stars from the book. Therefore, I give the book a top rating of 5 out of 5 stars rating.
