The book Terms of Service is a science fiction book by Craig W. Stanfill that takes you over two centuries into the future. The author predicts a future where artificial intelligence has advanced very effectively while taking a significant and dominant role in the daily activities of humankind. it shows what a world devoid of free choices and full of administrative manipulation would look like. It talks about how too much reliance on artificial intelligence has a lot of risks and disadvantages. It evokes conflicting thoughts, leading one to wonder whether the development that this modern civilization seeks will result in beneficial improvements or hostile ruin for our future society.

The protagonist Kim is an employee at the Artificial Intelligence Company with a good-looking future. She has been living a life of obedience to the system, just like everyone else. Before working for the company, everything in her life had always been controlled by the system, from her emotions to whether they were displayed. Even while working with them, everything is still regulated. governing what she ate and the style in which she dressed.

Eventually, things changed when she and her companion Shawn went on a scheduled journey and entered a restricted area, which exposed the darker side of society. Kim started having doubts and began deviating from the AI's path. She decides to resist and fight the system for her freedom alongside Kimberly's AI invention. Will Kim find and expose enough information about the system in time? Would she be able to get freedom for herself and others too?

I love the author's writing style; it is excellent how he captured the future in a captivating way. It is pretty easy to distinguish between real and virtual worlds. I liked the unexpected story twist and that there were hardly any dull chapters. I also appreciate the humour and sarcasm used; it made the book more enjoyable.

Although it was stated at the beginning of the book, I disliked the discordant use of pronouns, it made the book a little difficult to read and understand.

I give this book a 5 out of 5-star rating because it is a very captivating fictional story. The book is professionally edited, and I couldn't find any grammatical or spelling errors. I recommend this book to readers interested in artificial intelligence-themed books, and science books, and also to those who enjoy reading books on human rights.
