We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a work of fiction. Battle, magic, power, and treachery are some of the book's major themes. Power and the extent people will go to in order to obtain it are topics covered by the author. In order to keep their jobs, he outlines how these people would fabricate information, make untrue claims, and deceive the public. Additionally, it exemplifies how those who crave power out of self-interest and greed may betray their friends, loved ones, and even family.

The protagonist of the story is Galey Bray, a young man who left his war-torn home and moved to Voulhire in pursuit of greener pastures. Galen leaves the Land of the Princes in an effort to collect the inheritance his uncle left for him. In Voulhire, he met Rowan, his uncle's executor, and became friends with him.

Voulhire was a highly evolved and developed nation. Even among the knowledgeable and well-equipped Voulhirians, there are others who do not have the best interests of the kingdom at heart. Galen is a bright young man who was curious to learn more about the nation he was starting to fall in love with and how it would be impacted by people's narrow interests and quest for power. What would transpire in voulhire?

I loved how the book captured my attention from the very first page. I liked how realistically the author wrote the novel. I was captivated and honestly curious to find out what would happen next as I read each page of the book. The author did a great job of paying attention to detail. I truly like the book's usage of magic since it adds to the flavour and arouses my curiosity.

I found the many additions of certain unnecessary characters to be really annoying, it made reading the book extremely challenging. The author's misuse of both first-person and third-person narratives also made me less interested in reading the book.

I gave the book a 5 out of 5-star rating because, despite the problems I mentioned before, it was still a fantastic read with interesting plots that well reflected the modern culture. The book was professionally edited and error-free. I would recommend the book to anyone who enjoys magic, fantasy, or mystery. I would also recommend the book to anyone who likes to read about politics and has a sense of adventure.
