Artificial intelligence (AI), according to Craig W. Stanfill's book Terms of Service, will have an impact on how human civilization develops in the future. The book provides insight into a society where artificial intelligence rules while also outlining its drawbacks, including restrictions on free will and human rights, which call into question the advancement and development of human civilization. Everything in this society is governed by terms of service, including what you eat and wear. Small, frivolous acts were punished, and points were given for good deeds.

Kim is the name of the female protagonist in the book. She had spent five years as an automaton trainer at the artificial intelligence corporation. She obediently goes about her daily activities precisely according to the terms of service because she frequently receives points for actions taken, such as reporting other users who are in violation. Every person's life, including hers, is being watched over by the AIs, and daily clues are being assigned through these devices to assist them in going about their daily lives while being watched. Kim thought everything was going well for her, but she yearned for experiences that were different from what she had come to know. As a result, her life continued to feel artificial, pointless, and empty. What would happen to Kim? Will she get the life she so craves?

The author did a fantastic job of making the narrative very relatable. Additionally, it was incredibly interesting to see how a more technologically advanced world would differ from the one we are in right now. Because every action the characters took was guided by regulations that made consistent references to the conditions, the author did an excellent job of emphasizing the terms of service. The idea that artificial intelligence (AI) might become commonplace in a few years fascinates me, and the book gave a glimpse as to how it might be since the world we live in is constantly changing and some developed nations have already established a civilization based on technology. I also really liked that there were no offensive terms or unnecessary jargon, which made the book simple to read and comprehend.

There was nothing about the book that I didn't like, and I would read it again if I could.

I give the book 5 out of 5 stars because it was well-written, understandable, and somewhat relatable. The book was professionally edited and error-free. I heartily recommend the book to anyone interested in science and with a hankering for adventure. The book was professionally edited and free of mistakes.
